Fall Projects-

You know it is getting time for winter at our house when the project list comes out. Yes- the stuff that we don't want to do in the summer because we spend 95% of our time in water during the summer.
Our list is a little longer this year. We have lived in our house for seven years and it is some time for color changes, room rearranging, and creating. I am hoping that most of our bigger projects are completed before Christmas season. We host a holiday open house and who wants to worry about a mess (insert -"NOT I").
If anyone has some thoughts or ideas... let me know. Always love to add to my places to go or things to make!!

PROJECTS:
1. Paint my son's room. Big guy is almost 11 and is in that middle stage of life. He isn't a lil' man, but isn't a big guy-guy either. He is picking the color (lord help us all) and have had the conversation about this color is going to be up there for a lonnnng time- pick carefully!
He LOVES Legos and music. He is an avid guitar player and has a workstation for his Lego pieces. I would love to make or buy a display case for his miniature Lego figures. We will display his larger pieces on shelves that we will put up.

2. Make our basement door into a swing door. I love the doors that you can close the bottom but leave the top open. Our kids spend the majority of their time down there and I would like to hear what is going on without having our dogs go down their too.

3. Paint the living room, laundry room, kitchen, AND bathroom. I will post some before and after pictures.

4. Take all the art work from my children so I can mount and frame it for our art gallery in the hall.

Whew- I am tired already and I haven't even started....

Hi -I'm glad you didn't shut down your blog as I have only just discovered it via a google search for the 'Where I'm from' poem. I'm about to do it in my class. You sound like me in many ways, not least as my blog has been dormant for at least 2 years as I coped with a large life change. I know that blogging makes me happy and more accountable but need the oomph to restart. Glad your class is a positive in your life. I am about to say goodbye to my Year 6 class who have been a dream to teach and in Feb I'll get the next lot who are challenging to say the least!Keep up the good work, sounds like you are doing a fabulous job negotiating the rocky waters of testing and proper teaching.
All best wishes,
Alex (you never know, my blog may have a rebirth soon!)
